How Great Thou Art
O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand hath made.
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Refrain:
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee:
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!

And so did I
By Ivan J. Clark 3rd April 2015
Last night You shared a meal. And so did I.
They shared, they ate and drank. And so did I.
They said they won’t forget. And so did I.
You said your prayers last night. And so did I.
You told Your friends to love. And They said “why?”
“You came to save our souls.” And They said You lied.
“So, You’re the Son of God.” And They laughed and sighed.
“Get up You foolish man you ought to die.”
You saw another man. He washed his hands.
The crowd. They just shouted their demands.
With one word, that still rings out, “Crucify”.
The world refused Your Love. You were to die.
I fell today my Lord. And so did You.
It was sore I felt like crying. And so did You.
I got up again and sighed. And so did You.
I walked along the street. And so did You.
I saw Your face Lord Jesus. I am ashamed.
I saw Your mum’s sad face and I’m ashamed.
You said, You came to save me. I am ashamed.
For I continue sinning. I am ashamed.
They hung you on a tree. It was foretold.
They mocked, they drank; your clothes-they were sold.
I heard you say “forgive them, they know not what they do.”
Remember this, Jesus said it. So it is true.
From Your head, Your side, Your feet and Your hands
Blood came raining down unto the lands.
Your Love was twisted with thorns and stuck upon Your head.
Now boastfully man steps back to look; yes, You’re nearly dead.
You cried that night Lord Jesus. And so did I.
You looked up to the heavens. And so did I.
You said, “Father, I commend My Spirit.” And You died.
Deep in my heart Lord Jesus. And so did I.
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
(Rev 14:12)

I’m sure you’ll find, that if you hold on to the hand of Jesus, you can let go of everything else. For Jesus does take you as you are. By accepting His loving hand you will realise a gift of new life in HIM. May many blessings come your way – for with Jesus, everything is a blessing.

The Prayer of Jesus
After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said,
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you. For you have given him authority over all humanity so that he might give eternal life to all those you gave him.
And this is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent—Jesus the Messiah.
The Prayer of Jesus
After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said,
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you. For you have given him authority over all humanity so that he might give eternal life to all those you gave him.
WHEN CHRIST OUR LORD TO ANDREW CRIED
1. When Christ our Lord to Andrew cried: “Come, thou, and follow me,”
The fisher left his net beside the sea of Galilee.
To teach the truth his Master taught, to tread the path he trod
Was all his will and thus he brought unnumbered souls to God.
2. When Andrew’s hour had come and he was doomed, like Christ, to die,
He kissed his cross exultingly, and this his noble cry:
“O Noble Cross, O Precious Wood, I long have yearned for thee;
Uplift me to my only good who died on thee for me.”
3. The faith that Andrew taught once shone o’er all this kingdom fair;
The cross that Jesus died upon was honoured everywhere.
But times once changed and Andrew’s name was for a while forgot;
The cross, though set in kingly crown, became a sign of shame.
4. St Andrew now in bliss above thy fervent prayers renew
That Scotland yet again may love the faith entire and true;
That I the cross allotted me may bear with patient love!
‘Twill lift me as it lifted thee to reign with Christ above.
Jesus said,
“Come, thou, and follow me,”

THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF CHRIST
BY PROFESSOR JAMES ORR, D. D., United Free Church College, Glasgow, Scotland
It is well known that the last ten or twenty years have been marked by a determined assault upon the truth of the Virgin birth of Christ. In the year 1892 a great controversy broke out in Germany, owing to the refusal of a pastor named Schrempf to use the Apostles’ Creed in baptism because of disbelief in this and other articles. Schrempf was deposed, and an agitation commenced against the doctrine of the Virgin birth which has grown in volume ever since. Other tendencies, especially the rise of an extremely radical school of historical criticism, added force to the negative movement. The attack is not confined, indeed, to the article of the Virgin birth. It affects the whole supernatural estimate of Christ — His life, His claims, His sinlessness, His miracles, His resurrection from the dead. Continue reading THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF CHRIST
THE COMING OF CHRIST
BY PROFESSOR CHARLES R. ERDMAN, D. D., Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, New Jersey
The return of Christ is a fundamental doctrine of the Christian faith. It is embodied in hymns of hope; it forms the climax of the creeds; it is the sublime motive for evangelistic and missionary activity; and daily it is voiced in the inspired prayer:
“Even so: Come, Lord Jesus.”

Put Yourself In God’s Shoes
#WalkWithJesus

You may have asked yourself on several occasions as you go through hardships in particular the question “Why am I here?” The quick answer is because God willed it. Before you were born, you had no decision making abilities and right after you were born, you had no decision making abilities. You did not choose the womb, the location, your economic status, or whether you would be born right into slavery or set straight to the abortion mill. If you happen to past the age of fifteen you really want to know what is my purpose.
All of God’s creations are designed to worship and adore him. Don’t like your purpose? Well, you have a limited time to ignore God’s purpose with relative ease. Meaning, the consequences may not be so harsh for you. Some evil people live long healthy lives treating people like pawns on their chess board and…

Building Your Eternal Net Worth
#WalkWithJesus
There is not a man or woman alive without sin. Even when the light of God’s glorious gospel shines on you, within your flesh dwells no good thing. Paul stated “Oh wretched man that I am, who will deliver me from this body of death.” He hated the fact that though he pursued God that evil was always present. Not being dismayed by this; he put his trust in Christ and pressed toward the high mark of God’s call. He worked for his eternal net worth. I say net, because at judgment we will all have things that will be consumed in the fire when God is handing out his rewards.
We all know about worldly success. A recent report came out that said the U.S. added 300,000 new millionaires in 2015, bringing the total to a record 10.4 million people. Of course, a large percentage of these people could…

Pope Francis: the Lord weeps for the sins of a world at war

19/11/2015 13:08 (Vatican Radio)
“The whole world is at war,” and the rejection of the “path of peace” means that God Himself, that Jesus Himself, weeps. This was the message of Pope Francis to the faithful following the readings of the day at Mass on Thursday morning in the Casa Santa Marta.

Jesus, technology and the kingdom of God

Yes, you might find it strange, or even unusual but, Jesus did draw to our attention in the Bible about the limitations of our new fashioned technology. All the new technology that let’s you do all sorts of things but it won’t tell you about the coming of the kingdom of God. It won’t save your soul. In fact, Jesus also goes on to tell us it will just be like the days in the past, with Noah and with Lot. So why does Jesus tell us this – and what does He know about technology.
